Travel Tips

I have decided to share with you a few useful tips on what to pack for a trip.

One, don't take with you heavy showers gels, I started off with the soap leaves (below in blue) but it wasn't great for washing your body, didn't really foam up. Take a bar of soap it lasts longer.

Hand-washing soap leaves (above in white) are great when you need to do a spot of washing and don't forget a universal plug hole too!

A microfiber towel is a must...it saves a lot of space than a normal towel.

A sleeping bag liner you never know when there will be an unchanged bed you might just have to sleep in...handy for train travel too.

Scissors but pack them in your checked luggage.

A spork...knife, fork and spoon in one, it can come in handy on the go.

Waterbottle - it goes without saying.

Universal plug...try to take only one which can be used in many sockets.

A muti tool, there were many times I needed to fix something.

Needle and thread, you will need to sew up a hole or ripped clothes at one point.

A carabiner - it is useful to attach things on the outside of your backpack....like smelly shoes!

Last thing I would take is a drybag. It it handy on the beach for putting wet things in which saves your bag getting wet...or you can keep important thing (like phone, camera) inside from getting wet when you go on boat trips.

Convenient apps to use on your travels;

Splitwise - for knowing how much money you owe each other if you travel with friends or partner.

Here/Google maps offline -maps that you can download and use offline if you get lost.

Google trips - this is great to see what attractions, places of interest there are to visit in a country or area you are visiting.

Grab  - this is the Uber of South East Aisa, it is useful if you need to pay a taxi by card.

Booking.com - need to book accommodation do it with this site/app you can get deals when you become a genius booker.

Campermate - very handy in New Zealand (and Australia) when camping or caravaning...it will show you places you can camp, public toilets, petrol stations, parking spaces and many more.
