The Pot Shed - month 2

This month things changed and I had to say goodbye to Delphine as she was going on a road trip with her parents. It was OK as she left me her car to look after it and when she came to collect it I got to see her again. She is such a funny person and we always had a laugh.
But as I said goodbye to Delphine the hostel was filling up with new people ready for the harvesting and making of the wine this time.

Giacomo and Luca were back from Thailand and we had Daniela, Atis, Maija, Claudia, Fran, Chris, Jocelyn, Michael.

Another exciting thing that happened this month was that Joaquín had finished working in Australia, his visa was up and he arrived in New Zealand. I was so lucky that he was able to come and stay at the Pot Shed with me.

Jobs I've been getting up to on the farm this month:
Putting stock out on the shelves in the shop
Selling more pots
More flower orders
Clearing dead leaves off the plants
More hostel cleaning
Pruning the raspberry canes and blackberries
More weeding

Things I got up to:
It was Giacomo's birthday
An afternoon at the beach
Walks along the river and some runs
Pizza night
It was Luca's birthday
Found the bunches I've made up in the supermarkets

Nathalie passed by on her travels with her boyfriend so we went out for a meal at Gamado's. Nathalie used to work here and the food was delicious, we even got to do some wine tasting!

Planning our New Zealand road trip

Easter weekend and we had many treats. Mel gave us some eggs and bag of chocolates, which Joaquín and I hid for the others in the hostel so they could do an Easter egg hunt. I also planned a hunt for Joaquín - who had to follow the clues to find his chocolate.

As Easter Sunday and April fools day was the same day...many tricks were played; like swapping mattresses, locking some in the bathroom, hiding bedding. Luca and Giacomo thought that it was all Jocelyn's idea and fault so she got covered in flour and water and egg at a later date. All she needed now was some sugar and butter to make a cake!
